Job Profile
The successful candidate will manage the activities of the QCES NPI Tactical Procurement group, consisting of 8 Buyer/Purchasing Assistant employees. This group is responsible for the direct Procurement activities supporting the production plans of the QCES New Product Introduction organization. Skills/Experience 10 years of Procurement experience, 5 years in a Management position, preferably in a Electronics manufacturing environment. Extensive experience in a dynamic New Product Introduction environment. Strong knowledge of electronic components and supplier base. Extensive knowledge of corporate ERP systems, preferably Oracle. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Primarily responsibility will be to ensure part delivery supports the NPI production plan. This consists of managing all Tactical Procurement activities including timely purchase order placement to the weekly MRP, expediting parts, responding to drop-in demand, and working with Planning/CE/other functional groups on shortage mitigation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing Procurement best practices in an NPI environment, continuous process improvement, employee development, reporting Procurement performance, as well as completing ad-hoc assignments in support of NPI customer demands. Education Requirements Required: Bachelor's, Business Administration and/or Engineering. APICS/ISM or other Industry related designation is an asset.
